Endemol Shine Group’s All Together Now sells to Russia ahead of series two launch in the UK
Global content creator, producer and distributor Endemol Shine Group today announces that its latest travelling entertainment format All Together Now has been signed by Rossiya 1, with Weit Media, an Endemol Shine Group company, creating a 9×60’ run of the celebratory singing contest for TX later in 2019.
Originally created by Remarkable Television, part of Endemol Shine UK, All Together Now was the fastest travelling new format of 2018. The show has sold to Brazil, Australia and across Europe, becoming a rating hit within all markets while a hub in Central and Eastern Europe has been utilised to film both the Polish and Romanian versions.
The first series of All Together Now premiered on BBC One in January of last year, becoming the UK’s highest rated new entertainment launch in 2018. A celebrity special followed on Christmas Eve and was the highest rated entertainment show in its slot with a 14.4% market share. The second series starts tomorrow, Saturday 2nd March on BBC One.
The format has also been recommissioned in Denmark with a second run set to film later this year after the first became Kanal 5’s highest rated premiere in two years.
Lisa Perrin, CEO, Creative Networks, Endemol Shine Group says, “All Together Now has achieved phenomenal success in the year since it’s UK launch due to its celebratory, inclusive feel-good factor. It’s the ultimate joyful family format and we couldn’t be more excited to see what the team in Russia do with it and to welcome it back to BBC One tomorrow night ”
Yulia Sumacheva, CEO of Weit Media, adds, “It’s not often a format like All Together Now comes around, it’s a fresh new take on the singing genre that has delivered great ratings for major broadcasters around the world. We have seen our colleagues create successful adaptations in their markets and we have no doubt that it be equally popular with Rossiya 1 viewers.”
All Together Now sees a range of talented vocalists (solos and groups) perform in front of The 100, an audience of great singers with big voices and even bigger opinions. If any of The 100 like what they hear, they can stand up, join in and sing along. The greater the number that join in, the higher the act’s score. At the end of the series, one act will walk away with a major cash prize. The question is, who can get The 100 on their feet and singing along?
